The Government of Tehren Delta was established in 2094.
The first President (Javier Dupont) was chosen during the voyage from Earth Prime, by a committee of 11 board members each of whom represented the pinnacle of their fields.

Javier Dupont served a term of 8 years, before holding the first democratic election in 2102, contested between two main political parties; The Democratic Union and the Tehren Labor Congress, with Marc Hamish (DU) being elected.

Over time the idea of true democracy has faded and today the Government of Tehren Delta is largely bought and controlled by the wealthy elite.
